The Notifications section provides a snapshot of recent activity and includes several handy filters that you can apply to customize the activity list. You can access your notifications from the top right bell icon.
The default displays all notifications listed in ascending order based on the time an activity occurred.

All Activity
Likes and Share Activity
User Activity
Includes comments, mentions, followed user new statuses, followed user new uploads, and followed user content changes.
Other Activity
Includes new users following you, topic notifications (if applicable), and various account related notifications.
