Why did my account get suspended?

Sharesome was created to provide a safe place to share adult content and one where everyone is free to explore their sexuality in a positive and mindful way. Friendly and respectful conduct will go a long way. The community will forgive minor slip-ups, but serious infringements will result in the admins taking immediate steps to ensure that everyone feels comfortable.

The last resort is an account suspension. That decision is not reversible.

There are several reasons why we suspend accounts on Sharesome:

1. DMCA

You should only upload content that you have produced or for which you were given permission (either by license or by legal exceptions/limitations like fair use) to post on Sharesome.

If your account was terminated for DMCA, that means that you have uploaded content on Sharesome without the permission of the content creator. We have taken down that content after we received a legit DMCA (or copyright takedown notice) from the creator.

Check our DMCA page for more information on how copyright infringements are reported on Sharesome.

During the DMCA process, we give you the opportunity to file a counter-notice. If your account was suspended, it means that you ignored our message or couldn't send a counter-notice.

2. Illegal Content

If your account was suspended for posting illegal content, that means you broke the law by posting illegal content.

The account suspension happens in this case without notifying you.

Depending on the gravity of the crime, you are reported to the appropriate authorities.

3. Non-consensual

We do not allow the distribution of content showing any person in a state of nudity or engaged in any act of sexual conduct apparently created or posted without their permission. This includes content that has been faked.

If your account has been suspended for posting non-consensual content, that means that you have uploaded content on Sharesome without the permission of the people in that content.

During that process, we give you the opportunity to send us proof that you have the right to post the content. If your account was suspended, it means that you ignored our message or couldn't send the proof (2257 documents or other).

Note:  Posting non-consensual content is a crime. We will always support the victim in case it wants to press charges against you.

4. Spam

Nobody likes spam, except other than spammers.

If your account got suspended for spamming. Well, then you are a spammer and we caught you spamming.

5. Other

Other reasons to get suspended include but are not limited to:

- You violated our Community Guidelines

- You insulted an administrator
